Aggressive email marketing by a competitor makes dangerous claims for iphone external battery look alike.

March 10, 2010  An Newtrent executive received an E-mail from a customer who had received an email regarding a competitive product. Because of the wording of the e-mail, the client confused the E-mail as coming from New Trent. He forwarded the E-mail to the customer support center for verification.

The E-mail sent by this unscrupulous company is dangerous for New Trent clients because the mention of IMP500 in every other sentence makes them think they are dealing with Newtrent, John Chang, CEO of Newtrent, points out.

The E-mail makes full use of every unethical marketing trick in the book. It uses the name IMP500 to lure browsers to their website, and then promptly claims that their product is an improvement. The E-mail claims that the current has been upped to 3A from 1.8A which makes its able to support a wider range of devices. What most consumers don’t know and may regrettably find out is that such a high level of current can blow out your expensive gadget such as the IPhone, for which the IMP500 is most identified with. The ideal current level is 1.8A for these devices.

The E-mail further claims that they have a better design (no jump wires) and with an automatic shut off feature.. Read full article at here about fake IMP500 IMP500 Wannabe Markets Dangerous Product
